Ceramic Oil Decanter – "زيت" (Oil) in Arabic | With Cork Lid | Village Pattern
Ceramic Oil Decanter – "زيت" (Oil) in Arabic | With Cork Lid | Village Pattern
Perfect for the everyday table, this hand-painted ceramic decanter is a celebration of Palestinian craftsmanship and daily ritual. Made in the historic city of Hebron, each piece is individually thrown and painted by artisans who continue a ceramic tradition centuries in the making. The bulb-shaped body, fitted with a natural cork stopper, is designed for storing and pouring olive oil or vinegar, while the curved handle ensures balance and ease.
Wrapped around the vessel is a bold and joyful design—featuring the Arabic word "زيت" (zayt, meaning oil) framed within cloud-like motifs, and surrounded by vibrant hand-drawn forms that echo the rooftops and landscapes of Palestine. The brushwork is confident yet playful, bringing a sense of story and place to every table it graces.
Equally suited for everyday use or as a meaningful gift, this decanter carries both function and spirit. It is a vessel not only for oil, but for memory—for kitchens that cook with intention, and homes that hold onto beauty with both hands.

What makes our ceramics unique?
What makes our ceramics unique?
Each piece is handmade and hand‑painted by artisans in Hebron, continuing a centuries‑old tradition. Because these items are individually shaped and painted by hand, sizing and color variations are normal—no two pieces are exactly alike.
What materials are our ceramics made of?
What materials are our ceramics made of?
The primary material is local clay—typically earthenware or stoneware clay—chosen for its plasticity and fired to durability. Artisans also use traditional glazes comprising feldspar, ash, and iron‑rich oxides, plus tin‑ or lead‑based compounds for vibrant, glossy finishes. If ceramic has wood, artisans use olive wood.
Where are they made?
Where are they made?
Crafted entirely in Hebron (Al‑Khalil), West Bank, Palestine, either in historic family workshops or small-scale factories, often in the Old City’s traditional crafts quarter. The city boasts a strong lineage of ceramic and glassmaking spanning 400+ years.
